What we do

  1. Experience in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services

GILINAVO has been actively involved in ecosystem restoration, biodiversity education, and community-led conservation programs since its founding in 2015. Our projects include reforestation, wetland restoration, coastal clean-ups, and wildlife habitat preservation. These efforts contribute directly to the preservation and enhancement of biodiversity and the ecosystem services that support human well-being.

  1. Community-Based and Science-Informed Approach

We implement community-centered initiatives informed by environmental science and traditional ecological knowledge. Through collaboration with local leaders, schools, farmers, and youth, we build environmental awareness and practical solutions to biodiversity loss, land degradation, and pollution.

  1. Participation in Global Environmental Frameworks

GILINAVO holds observer status with key UN environmental processes, including UNFCCC, UNOC, ECOSOC, and UNCCD. This involvement demonstrates our ability to engage in multilateral policy processes and contribute meaningfully to the science-policy.

  1. Public Education and Advocacy

We run educational campaigns and workshops on biodiversity, sustainable land use, and climate impacts on ecosystems. These activities objectives by fostering public understanding and promoting science-based decision-making at community and policy levels.

  1. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

GILINAVO actively partners with schools, local governments, research institutions, and international NGOs. We participate in dialogues and conferences related to biodiversity and ecosystem services, contributing knowledge and practical experience from our work in Ghana and beyond.
